7:13 When ¹  I close up the sky ²  so that it doesn’t rain, or command locusts to devour the land’s vegetation, ³  or send a plague among my people,

2 Tawarikh 15:12

15:12 They solemnly agreed ⁴  to seek the Lord God of their ancestors ⁵  with their whole heart and being.

2 Tawarikh 20:19

20:19 Then some Levites, from the Kohathites and Korahites, got up and loudly praised the Lord God of Israel. ⁶

30:26 There was a great celebration in Jerusalem, unlike anything that had occurred in Jerusalem since the time of King Solomon son of David of Israel. ⁷

[7:13]  ² tn Or “heavens.” The Hebrew term שָׁמַיִם (shamayim) may be translated “heaven(s)” or “sky” depending on the context.

[7:13]  ³ tn Heb “the land,” which stands here by metonymy for the vegetation growing in it.

[15:12]  ⁴ tn Heb “entered into a covenant.”

[15:12]  ⁵ tn Heb “fathers.”

[20:19]  ⁶ tn Heb “arose to praise the Lord God of Israel with a very loud voice.”
